Flexibility is a measure of the range of motion, or the amount of movement possible, at a particular joint. Improving your range of motion through stretching exercises will enhance your efficiency of movement and your posture. In addition, flexibility exercises have been shown to be effective in reducing the incidence and severity of musculotendinous injuries. A regular program of stretching exercises can enhance psychological as well as physical well-being. If you're a golfing, "stretching exercises are a fundamental component in a golf swing improvement program, and they are integral in any golf fitness regime. At the professional level of golf on the PGA TOUR, players know that flexibility is required to execute the golf swing and, as a result, they adhere to a golf fitness program that incorporates a comprehensive set of golf stretching exercises." [1] Another important component to flexibility is joint hydration. If your joints are stiff it's impossible to get the full range of motion. Joints must remain well hydrated in order to stay flexible, strong and pliable. Any stiffness in your joints will cause the muscles to work harder, cause soreness in the joint, and/or, as in extreme conditions, will cause damage to the joints. To help with the hydration process, I recommend TriVita's Optima Flex™. It has been developed by TriVita to help individuals maintain their flexibility, and keep the joints hydrated. Many golfers use Optima Flex to keep their range of motion at the optimum level. "If limitations exist in terms of mobility or flexibility within the body, execution of a fundamentally sound golf swing can be hampered." [1] The key ingredient in Optima Flex™ to supplement the joints is cetyl myristoleate. Cetyl Myristoleate has been reported to act as a lubricant for the joints and muscles, help in the building of cartilage, and help your body reduce inflammation. It's an expensive, rare ingredient but one that has impressive results in protecting the joints and lowering the possibility for future damage. Golf stretching exercises are very beneficial in developing the required levels of flexibility for the golf swing. Keeping the joints well hydrated will help maintain that flexibility. As you age, your muscles naturally lose strength and size and can become less supple and stiffer. This can affect the range of movement around your joints, which may lead to stiffness in the muscles and joints. It's this loss of tissue elasticity that can cause muscles and joints to tighten up. One of the main reasons muscles lose their natural suppleness and flexibility and can become prone to tears, aches, and pains is inactivity. If the situation is not remedied in time, loss of flexibility could lead to permanent changes in posture and normal muscle function. Therefore, it's important to maintain muscle flexibility as a component of your overall fitness. What is flexibility? Flexibility can be described as the ability of your joints and body parts to execute their full range of motion. Flexibility is required in all your day-to-day activities such as bending, walking, lifting, etc. Being flexible allows your muscles to remain mobile. However, like most things, flexibility decreases with age. That's why I consider it very important to include flexibility exercises in your daily workout regimen. Keeping the muscles in your body supple and flexible is only one part of the flexibilty equasion. Sometimes it's our joints that are stiff or sore that causes us to lose motion. Our joints require hydration in order to stay flexible, strong and pliable. The cartilage in our joints stretches every time we move-when a joint is properly hydrated, it will stretch without tearing. TriVita has developed a product, Optima Flex™, to help individuals maintain their flexibility, and keep the joints hydrated. The key ingredient in Optima Flex™ to supplement the joints is cetyl myristoleate. Cetyl Myristoleate has been reported to act as a lubricant for the joints and muscles, help in the building of cartilage, and helps your body reduce inflammation. It is an expensive, rare ingredient but one that has shown in studies to have impressive results in protecting the joints and lowering the possibility for future damage. Optima Flex™ also has other ingredients to help keep joints healthy and mobile. Hyaluronic acid can help reduce friction in joint cartilage, and glucosamine and MSM have been shown in studies to work together to help reduce joint problems. There are many golfers, tennis players, runners, and average people using Optima Flex™ on a daily basis. If you feel you're losing movement or are not as flexible as you once were, give TriVita's Optima Flex™ a try. New Document Sonoran Bloom Sonoran Bloom Nopalea Cures Pain "I have also been suffering from horrible neck and shoulder pain for the past eight months. I contribute my problem to a past injury – a car accident in 1997. For the past few months I started a treatment plan with my chiropractor. I stopped going due to scheduling problems, and began taking Nopalea™. I woke up this past Sunday and was completely pain-free. I thought I must have had a really good night’s sleep. I can honestly say that lately I have had minimal pain and I can sleep soundly. I do not wince in pain if I roll over in bed. I was taking 800 mgs of Ibuprofen – which my health care provider had suggested, because you need that amount to reduce the inflammation in your neck and shoulder. On my painful days I would take 800 mgs Ibuprofen in the morning, mid-afternoon and evenings. Taking that much Ibuprofen is not so good for the kidneys! You can't imagine how wonderful it feels to sleep without pain, to not have to take Ibuprofen all day long and to be able to work at my computer without horrible pain. I can only attribute my success to Nopalea. I am so thankful that I was introduced to this product. I look forward to continued success and I am spreading the word as fast as I can."
